Truly has something for everybody. A great resort for active families or couples. With a water park, three world-class golf courses (the land of Sam Snead), tennis, biking, hiking, segue tours, off-roading, archery, falconry, spa, yoga, gym, billiards, and on-site shops - you can keep yourself as busy as you like. And if you want to find a quiet corner on the veranda, in the library, or in one of the indoor sitting areas, you have that option, too. Plenty of people playing card and board games. As for dining, you can participate in the formal coat-and-tie dinners, or dine casually at the "casino" or the sports bar. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful - Southern hospitality is alive and well.
Really a great place for an extended 3-4 day stay. Get the "Leisure B&B" plan for the breakfast buffet. No commercial airport nearby to fly into - so most of the guests are local and from neighboring states.
Some rooms appear to be more up-to-date than others. We had room 1541, an updated, bright corner suite away from the noise, but still central. Our suite was perfect for the 4 of us, with a master bedroom separated from the living room by double doors for some mutual privacy. The fold-out couch in the living room made for a comfortable stay for everyone.
