A little piece of Italy in the middle of NYC. When you enter, you hear Italian and French. The staff speaks perfect English - and Italian. The experience is casual chic, which was exactly what we wanted for lunch, while keeping it light. We shared a beautiful house-made Tagliatelle with mushrooms, a spinach soup (no cream, thickened slightly with potato), and grilled vegetables with burrata (the burrata was amazing!). The wine list, no surprise, is almost entirely Italian (we had a very nice Pinto Nero). We dined in the front, which has small cafe tables that look out on Madison avenue. The patrons ran the gamut from casual to high-fashion. Just a wonderful experience. Expect your tab to be over $60 per person if you have an appetizer/salad, entree, and a glass of wine - but well worth it if you're in the mood for a great food in a cosmopolitan setting.
