Best cherries ever, bar none - Bing and Queen Anne cherries. This is a family operation, who have been growing cherries in Santa Clara valley since the 1920s, back when Santa Clara valley was famous for cherries, plums and apricots instead of silicon and technology. They still have a small orchard in Morgan Hill. They sell cherries for1-2 weeks each year. The cherries are picked fresh daily. These are the most plump, sweet cherries you'll ever taste. Usually the first day of cherries will be some time on Memorial Day weekend. This year (2011), the weather was so strange - wet and cold - that the first day of cherry sales was June 11 with only perhaps 8 days worth of cherries. The cherries are sold from their family home not far from the San Jose Rose Garden and the Rosicrucian Museum. Hustle on down, it's worth the trip.
