Situated just around the corner from my current residence, Geary Farmer's Market is a welcome locale for produce, groceries, and uhh produce. Did I mention produce? Yes, if you are looking for cheap fruits and veggies -- as I often am -- this right here is the spot to be. Particularly if you live within walking distance. I might also mention their Italian Rolls are rather good too and make for excellent mini-subs. (I like to pair them with Avocado, turkey, cheddar and dijon.) Fair warning though, if you're looking for Whole Foods-level freshness, you might want to pass this place by. Personally, I've never had a problem finding good, fresh produce there but sometimes you do have to investigate a little. Also, bring your wallet as it's cash only. (You might be surprised how far $5 goes, though.)
