The day I visited L'Atlas, I had had it up to here with carbs. I love the breads of Paris, but I was in need of some protein. I ordered the formule for 18 and chose the chvre chaud, steak frites and creme caramel. The chvre chaud alone would have been enough. It was huge, nicely presented, and delicious. The steak was on the small side, but after the big salad, I was glad about that. It was properly prepared, tender and had great flavor. The frites were standard, a little too overcooked and uninteresting. I overdid it with the creme caramel, but it was so creamy and delicious, I couldn't stop until it was gone. I was glad I had a long walk home to work some of it off.
Service was good, attentive, and efficient. I had an outdoor table and it was a lot of fun to watch neighborhood locals stop in and joke with the waiters. L'Atlas is on Rue de Buci, a (mostly) pedestrian street with a mix of shops, restaurants, and vendors. Nice area.
For 18, this was a great value and a relaxed enjoyable meal. I would definitely go back again.
