Nice blend of formal service, yet casual atmosphere. I had the steak tartare, which included a side serving of bone marrow - atypical, and the saltiness of the bone marrow enhanced the steak tartare. The egg included with the tartare was poached and included more white than I'm used to - different, but still good. The toasts included with the tartare could have been more toasted/crispy, and perhaps 3 slices instead of 2, given the extra volume from the egg whites, bone marrow, and salad greens. I followed the tartare with the beet and citrus salad with feta - hands down, one of my favorite dishes of the evening - very simple and tasty. I also had the asparagus soup - nice flavor, not too rich. I was fortunate to share a bite of the pappardelle pasta with wild mushrooms - highly recommended if you're a mushroom lover. Dessert is always an important part of the experience, and we shared a chocolate mousse with pistachio. This bomb-like serving, coated with melted dark chocolate was not only a beautiful presentation, but was not super sweet as you might expect - an excellent finish to the meal. Note that the on-line menu was quite different from the actual menu - so use this to get a feel for the restaurant, but don't expect to necessarily find the dishes on the menu. I drink plenty of water with my meals, and found the water service was slow - but that's the worst I can say about the service, which was otherwise top-notch.
