Great area of Istanbul - it is a stone medieval tower - across from the Golden Horn from Old Istanbul. Lots of people eating outside in small cafes, people going about their everyday lives. Not too touristy - a real slice of Turkish life. Great views of Istanbul from the top of the tower. Dave and I stayed in this area in the Fall of 2010. I highly recommend checking out this part of Istanbul for a less crowded Istanbul experience.
