We love Tahoe. But it can be challenging finding great food for entertaining at home. So take note... Tahoe House is a great european style bakery where you can find fabulous desserts like a Sacher Torte, and all sorts of wonderful baked goods (the bran muffins are excellent). In addition, they have a good wine and cheese selection, and other nice selections for hors d'oeuvres. Beware, it can be overrun in the mornings as people get ready to go hiking in summer or skiing in winter. So if you're looking for something that's a step above the local grocery store, head to Tahoe House.
