After working at Wak Shack Salon as stylist and manager, Filomena bought the salon in March 2012 and is making it her own as B Parlor!
We are passionately driven to deliver the highest quality services with the utmost integrity. Our staff members have trained at Bumble University, Wella International, Vidal Sassoon Academy, Sebastian Professional, Hairdreams, and many others. As a team, we’re regularly involved in classes, photo shoots, and various other projects that keep us current, unique, and inspired.
We cut, color, texture, and straighten hair. We also offer hair extensions, waxing, and makeup application. Just as with the products we sell, we take pride in teaching our clients how to achieve the look they want every day.

Calm and Precise
I had the joy of seeing Caity now two weeks ago, as my regular stylist was unavailable. Caity was calm, precise, and did a wonderful job. I appreciated the care she took to match my color, cut my unruly hair, and to finish things off with a flat iron. Caity is not flashy nor pushy -- she is just plain talented, easy going, and precise. Before coming to California, Caity learned her craft in Ohio. She has been cutting hair for eight years, and her experience shows. Delightful. And good.

This is a terrific hair salon, for so many reasons! The stylists are talented, hip and professional. Up until a year ago, Adam was my main stylist, however he now primarily lives in NYC and comes back to SF quarterly or so. If you are lucky enough to book with Adam, he is a true artist; he will take a tremendous amount of time to get your hair just right -- both cut and color. In Adam's absence, I started working with Claudia who has doing a great job: she listened carefully to what I wanted and nailed it. Also in Adam's absence, I have gone to Sarah for a haircut. I was quite impressed with her too. Meticulous, tuned in, honest, and talented. I was super happy with the result! Love this salon! Their prices are very reasonable for a top San Francisco salon.

I've always been picky about my cuts. With crazy hair and my particular personality, it's been difficult finding a stylist until I found B-parlor and my rock star of a stylist Janine! The vibe at this salon is welcoming and friendly. So much so that I've been a loyal customer and never looked back. I love Janine! She heard what I wanted and without hesitation created my cut! I get compliments about my hair regularly, it's ridiculous. My advice? Go to B-parlor :-)

I went to Michael for highlights and I only had a vague idea of what I wanted. He took the small amount of info that I gave him and created something that I absolutely love. He's also very quick, so there isn't a lot of waiting around.

Claudia takes her time to find out what look I want to end up with. She also has given me guidance when I don't really know what I want. I've never been confident wearing my wavy/curly hair down until getting a cut from her. Before Claudia, my hair was in a ponytail everyday. Now I get lots of compliments and people want to know who cuts my hair. Besides being extremely talented, she also has an very positive, fun vibe and easy to talk to.

A typical reaction for when a stylist looks at my hair for the first time? A look of fear, complete shock and loss of most color in the face. However, Sara wasn't scared she was determined.
I've been going to Sara since she started at the salon. We've gone through a lot; some color changes, some cut changes but she always gives me something that suits me to a T. Not only is she the funniest person on the planet, her laugh is contagious. Combine the forces of the other ladies, and of course the one and only Becky J, B is the place to be!
Even though I'm not living in the city anymore, she's still worth the drive from the peninsula for my regular cut and color. And can I say that my latest cut was a game-changer?! I don't think I've ever had so many compliments on my crazy curls...ever.
Sara, you're the best. Don't forget about us minions after you're picking up the stylist of the year awards. :o)

A five year client here, and never ever have I had less than a wonderful experience. These ladies and gentlemen create a space of relaxation and fun, and have genuinely made my haircuts one of the top things I look forward to. Owner Filomena is a huge sweetheart and the minute you walk in, you can tell she runs a tight ship that's fun to be on. I trust my stylist, Sara, to have me looking fresh and feeling great after every visit, and she goes above and beyond. Also, every great party needs a host, and manager Becky is the host with the most, being the perfect lovely liaison between you and your stylist. She made me feel good about my curious decision to wander into B Parlor (Wak Shack at the time) five years ago. I could gush more, but all I really need to say is that this place was a wonderful piece in helping this North Carolina transplant feel at home in the Bay. Hope I never have to find another salon.

I've been getting my hair cut by Sara for five years now. As corny as it sounds, she was a solid, perfect fit for my needs right off the bat. Before that, I had been using clippers on my own hair since high school, but after taking a chance at B Parlor (Wak Shack at the time) and sitting in front of Ms. Leahy, I learned to trust her 100% with whatever direction she thought my hair could go. She's never failed to have me leave the chair feeling confident and looking fresh. If ever I had to leave the Bay, hers would be some very big shoes to fill!

I've been going to Emily for about 2 years and love what she does. I have straight, thin hair that I don't add a ton of style to and I feel comfortable going in with or without a specific direction and letting Emily work her magic. She's fantastic! The Parlor overall is always inviting, easy to schedule with, super attentive and fun. Love this place!

Claudia was great! I gave her vague ideas about what kind of cut I wanted, and she told me what she had in mind. She was communicative through the whole process and gave me an excellent cut. My hair looks and feels fabulous!

What can I say?? Sara is THE best! I almost don't want to say how good she is because then everyone else will fall in love with her an then I'll never get an appointment. But... For the greater good I will share. She is a master at color. She makes my highlights look great, natural and no crazy roots. She does such a great job that it lasts longer than most. Her cuts always look fantastic! She's super good at styling in a way that works for your face and lifestyle. And.... She's so much fun to talk to. 3 hours to get your hair done could be an ordeal- but with her it's like hanging out. She's. The. Best. :)

I've been going to Sara for over a year now and hands down she is the best haircutter I've ever had. I always wait to get my hair cut from Sara after returning from college, as theres nothing close to her near my school. She is creative, willing to tend to your needs, and is never rushed. She uses your desires and the local trends, to produce a hairstyle that is like none other.

I went to Sara for the first time recently, and I could not have been happier with my experience. Sara was able to easily understand the type of haircut I wanted (although I'm not the best at describing what I want), and she made suggestions that helped me better understand my preferences. She's definitely willing to put in the time to focus on the details and ensure the haircut is the best it can be (she spent 1.25 hours on me alone), which I really appreciate. She's also very pleasant / fun to be around. I had a fantastic experience overall. I highly recommend Sara, and I look forward to going back to her for my next haircut!

I have been going to Sarah for a few years now and can't say enough great things about her. Sarah is super creative and is always willing to try something new when I'm feeling adventurous. She is detail oriented and never seems rushed, which I really appreciate in a hairdresser. I have recommended her to many of my friends, and she never seems to disappoint:).
