We purchased our built-in side-by-side refrigerator from Atherton Culinary in 2008, and they did a great job of delivery and installation. It wasn't a terribly difficult job because we were replacing the existing refrigerator (22 years old) with an identical replacement. Kind of amazing that Sub-Zero has managed to keep their designs so consistent and compatible over two decades. They did have to swap the custom wood door panels from the old refrigerator to the new, and deeper door handles were needed to accomodate the door thicker wood panels. The whole thing was done in a matter of two hours, including hauling off the old side-by-side.
In 2011, Atherton Culinary closed their doors to make way for the new Safeway development. They did not go out of business, however. The parent company, Atherton Appliance and Kitchen, is still in business and supports the past customers of Atherton Culinary. Atherton Appliance is in Redwood City at 695 Veterans Boulevard.
